Nokia E5 revealed (photo gallery)

GLOBAL – Today sees the unearthing of the Nokia E5, the latest addition to the Eseries stable, taking the best of the Nokia E71 and E72 and making something even better. Before we go through the raft of tasty features on board the Nokia E5, we should ponder on the battery life. 18 hours and 30 minutes talk time (in GSM mode). 29 days standby time. Yep, you read that right. The Nokia E5 is for perfect for anyone who doesn’t like charging their phone. Too often.

Packing the latest version of S60 3rd edition, the Nokia E5 boasts a suite of homescreen features including one-touch access to your favourite contacts, and your favourite social networks. It also boasts Facebook updates direct to your contacts list, so you can always see what your friends are up to and, as it packs the latest version of Nokia Messaging, you get full Instant Messaging functionality too.

Ovi Maps with free walk and drive navigation is on board, as is Ovi Store and with Nokia Messaging comes access to email on the go with support for multiple email accounts, including popular mail services such as Ovi Mail, Yahoo! The Nokia E5′s screen is a 2.4-inch affair which is perfect for showing off snaps taken with the 5-megapixel camera. Below the screen comes two hot keys and dedicated buttons for both the homescreen and messaging and call start/answer and end buttons, the latter doubling as the on off button – like the C3.

Like the Nokia E71 and E72 before it, the Nokia E5 is a tidy little number with similar dimensions, though the E5 is approximately 2mm chubbier than it’s predecessors. On the plus side, it weighs in a whole 2 grams lighter than the E72. Before you say boo, though, did we mention the no-need-t0-charge-me-I-still-have-plenty-left battery life? Storage is taken care of with 250MB of on-board memory and support for up to 16GB on microSD.

Still looking for more? Go on then. The Nokia E5 comes in five mouth-watering colours – Carbon Black, Chalk White, Sky Blue, Copper Brown and Silver Gray.

Nokia 6120 Classic / 6121 Classic Review

ote 1: The Nokia 6120 Classic has the "Classic" tagged on the end to avoid confusion with the Nokia 6120, a much older phone.)

(Note 2: The Nokia 6121 Classic is the same as the 6120 Classic, but they have slightly different 3G frequencies. To save space, we'll just refer to the 6120 Classic in this review, though all of the content in the review applies to both models.)

We at AAS don't often mention our site statistics, but one unusual moment last week was when the 6120 Classic unboxing article drew a surprisingly large number of visitors, in one day managing to equal the total that most articles get in a week. This took us by surprise somewhat, as the 6120 Classic hasn't had any hype, and doesn't, on paper, appear to be any more special than other S60 models released recently.

Indeed, when this reviewer first heard about the phone it seemed like just another S60 model, without anything as novel as a built-in GPS or a twistable keypad. What would make the 6120 Classic stand out from the crowd?

Well, all it really took was seeing the actual phone in real life: it's probably the most compact and light smartphone in the world right now, just 66 cubic centimetres and 89 grams / 3.1 ounces. The photos don't do it justice, because they don't get across the sense of size that you get from holding the phone itself. If you didn't know it was a smartphone, you would be absolutely sure this was a normal "dumb" phone. On top of that, the launch price is also very distinctive, just 250 euros plus taxes, the lowest S60 launch price so far. It's about the same launch price and size as the Nokia 6300, a Series 40 non-smart phone.

Nokia C7 Unboxing (Photo Heavy)

Our Nokia C7 review sample turned up today, and it’s a stunning piece of kit. From the 8-Megapixel camera to the curvy design, there’s a lot to like about the Nokia C7. Join us after the break to find out what’s in the box and to see our hands-on photographs…

The Nokia C7 is the second Symbian ^3 smartphone to hit the market, following in the footsteps of the Nokia N8. Open the compact packaging, and you’ll find the C7 above all the other peripherals.

Nokia C7: Price dropped to £320

There’s a smaller than average charger – the 3rd pin of which slides into the charger itself for compact storage, and there’s also a micro USB lead. Along with these, you’ll find a set of earphones for the Nokia C7.

The Nokia C7 itself is particularly impressive, proving thinner and slightly more compact than the Nokia N8 – despite featuring similar dimensions and the same 3.5-inch screen.

The 12-Megapixel camera has been replaced by an 8-Megapixel snapper on the Nokia C7, but it’s still amazingly effective. You’ll also find top-notch connectivity, with 3G, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi all present.

We’ll be bringing you a full Nokia C7 review next week, but in the meantime check out our unboxing photos below.

Nokia C7 leaked

Nokia C7 leaked
Tuesday, 31 August 2010

A new Nokia, the Nokia C7 has been previewed online, before it has been announced. The preview was posted by the Russian website Mobile-Review.

According to the post the Nokia C7 will be a touchscreen phone running on the new Symbian^3 operating system which the N8 will run. The phone will also feature 8GB of memory, WiFi, GPS and an 8 megapixel camera with flash.

The phone looks very stylish, with some design similarities to some Samsung phones. Whilst it has a metallic look though, it is reported to be made from plastic and not metal.

As the C7 has not yet been announced by Nokia, the specifications could change. We also won't know the release date or pricing until it is officially announced.

Nokia C7 looks Stylish and Stunning in its detailed Photo Session and Videos

Nokia C7 is a wonderful mobile phone features with 3.5 inches display that comes with nHD resolution. This Nokia phone is considered a mass-market alternative to the upcoming N8 flagship. The phone will be integrated with 8 MP snapper and this camera has paired with a dual-LED flash.

C7 Nokia Phone features with a microUSB port instead of microHDMI that is available with Nokia N8. It is powered by a 1200mAh battery, the capacity of which is same as you get through Nokia N8 but the model is different.

In its major feature Nokia C7 is exactly resembled with Nokia N8 but the great thing is that it is an affordable phone in comparison of latter. So the person who is looking for affordable phone may wait until the phone will launch finally.

Review for AT&T Lg Neon GT365

AT&T Lg Neon GT365 Reviews: The lg neon GT365 for AT&T is a pretty and lovely slider, it has good soud quality, and come with a nice touchscreen wit 2.4 inch display, which is make it easy to text, but there are some users say you’ll find the keypad is superfluous with touchscreen. AT&T Cell phone Reviews

In addtion, the Lg Neon offers a great 2.0. MP camera, but not good compared to some of the phones that are out. The contact pictures are very tricky and trying to edit pictures can take forever and there are a lot of mistakes with the camera features. MORE GLITCHES.

» Samsung SGH-F330 shiny and slider Phone

Samsung has already launched a whole heap of mobile phones this year, and while most of the handsets it had on display at IFA in Berlin today saw light of day way back at 3GSM in March, one phone did catch our eye.
Say hello to the SGH-F330 music phone, a slider with cool white styling and a dedicated music-key cluster that's almost iPod-like in its clean lines. It has 1GB of on-board song storage - there's a Micro SD card slot for more - and a radio for when you tire of your own tunes. It'll play MPEG 4 video on its 2.1in, 240 x 320, 262,144-colour display too.
It's a 3G phone - the hard-to-see front-facing video call camera's in the top right of the picture - and has 3.6Mbps HSDPA download technology on board too. There's a two-megapixel camera on the back. It should come as no great surprise that the F330 is fitted out with Bluetooth and wireless stereo support.

3.5G HSDPA LG Shine upgrade – LG KU970 Shine in the works

LG twister

But we’ll let the manufacturer off these design ‘influences’ because the P7200 is actually an accomplished and feature-rich 2.5G handset. In spite of its solid build (the only slightly moving part is the front fascia attachment to the swivel hinge), LG has adopted soft-touch materials for a more tactile feel. Like its 3G relative, the U880, it’s also nice and trim (measuring 17mm deep) but obviously isn’t as gossamer as the RAZR V3.

The RAZR-esque keypad is, as with all LG phones, geared towards shortcuts. While this obviously gives you instant access to a wider variety of functions, LG has seemingly nominated superfluous features that cramp the keypad even further.

For example, a prominent key has been dedicated to access the calendar; fine, but frankly the organiser is a secondary feature and this just adds to the congested layout. You do get shortcuts to your address book, favourite functions, message inbox, profiles and multimedia options.

Once you get used to the keypad’s idiosyncrasies (sometimes you have to press down quite hard to get a reaction) it’s very easy to use, although our fat-fingered friends might struggle with the closely related key positions.

The P7200’s main attraction is the two-megapixel camera with autofocus. Primed with a sizeable lens that looks impressive on the back of the phone, it gives the impression of a standalone digital camera. So much so that LG has embraced the dual-front technique for operating the camera. The P7200 also implements the 180° swivel display to transform the screen into the camera viewfinder. Twist the display into place and the camera automatically activates. If you’re not comfortable operating the shutterbug in this pose, you can use the dedicated camera button to fire up the camera and take snaps in the standard, open clamshell position.

The P7200 shoots pics at maximum resolution of 1600x1200 pixels and allows you to modify the setting while in capture mode, using the volume switch in the bottom and the top shutter key to navigate through the on-screen menu. This method can be fiddly and slow so it’s best to prepare the settings in advance. As with all good camera phones, you are offered a host of modes from white balance, brightness, metering, autofocus, flash, scene (portrait, landscape, night) and black and white, sepia and negative effects. Once everything is in place, the picture performance is first-rate, with the photos demonstrating a keen sense of detail and focus. Colours were good and it proved accomplished in Night mode. The autofocus also works well but you must keep the phone steady after initiating the shutter button while the feature works its magic. It only takes a few seconds. You can then choose to save your snaps to the limited internal memory or to an optional TransFlash memory card.

Judging by the music player controls decorating the front fascia, the P7200’s other main focus is digital music. Like the U880 it spins a variety of file formats and you can access and operate the music player without flipping open the phone. The phone is also supplied with a 3.5mm headphone jack adapter and remote control. While the bundled stereo earphones aren’t too bad, you’re going to need to plug in your superior quality cans. Use something like a pair of closed Sennheiser PX200 and you will hear the difference in quality, with bass rumbles given more depth and vocals enhanced. You can also tamper with the fidelity by using the equaliser presets like rock, bass, classical and jazz, although the one gripe is that its volume doesn’t have enough punch.

LG Adds Another Unit To The Black Label Line

LG is set to launch another fashion phone this April, adding another member to its Black Label lineup. While details are few, BGR managed to find some that might interest you. It's good information for a product that doesn't even have a name yet.

LG Viewty now available in pink only for Korean ladies

Here is a nice phone for women, LG Viewty in pink.Available only for Korean ladies for the moment. Only in the first five weeks LG has sold more then 300K pieces of it, probably even outselling iPhone before the Christmas season. And, despite a steep $700+ price tag, it managed to sell 130K of Korean version of Viewties (LG-SH210/KH2100/LH2100) in domestic market since then. However, knowing LG and their global plans, we’re kinda sure this pink beauty will hit Europe and U.S. in no time at all.

Nokia N8-00 12MP smartphone breaks cover

The N8-00 is expected to run Symbian ^3, and judging by the photos is a touchscreen-only device with no slide-out QWERTY keyboard as we’ve seen on other recent Nokia smartphones. It also has a front-facing video camera and proximity sensor, as well as an ambient light sensor that’s presumably used for adjusting backlighting.

The display – which IT168 say could actually be 4-inches, not 3.5 – is believed to run at WVGA resolution. There’s also a Xenon flash. It’s an interesting device, but we’ve been burnt by Nokia – we’re thinking of the N97 – before; we’ll be waiting until the summer and our first hands-on before we pass judgement.

Nokia N8 Shows Off 720P Video Capabilities, Amazing Results Ensue

The Nokia N8 offers a 12MP camera and 720P playback, to prove how much that means for video enthusiasts Nokia hired a professional (we assume) videographer, gave them a well lit background and produced what is surely some of the most stunning mobile video we have ever seen.

The Nokia N8 was leaked a few days ago and was given a big thumbs down by Mobile-Review, Nokia wanted to quickly squash those rumors and this was an amazing attempt that in my opinion has made that initial look seem a bit foolish and premature.

Is the Nokia N8 the most sleek phone we’ve seen to date? Hell no. Is the Symbian^3 operating system going to replace Google Android as Apple’s main competitor? Not a chance. But when it comes to video the craptastic iPhone camera doesn’t stand an iota of a chance next to this beast of a machine.

Nokia N8 smartphone – Overview

officially emerges into the daylight, stepping out of the shadows equipped with a host of smartphone talents. The first device to be powered by the brand new Symbian^3 platform, the Nokia N8 will launch with a new breed of camera that promises to capture photos and video to rival dedicated point and shoot cameras. Read on to explore Nokia N8?s full list of talents.eatures a substantially larger sensor than any ever used in any other Nokia device – even bigger than many found in dedicated cameras. Recently, we caught up with Nokia’s resident camera guru, Damian Dinning, to get the full lowdown on what went into fine-tuning the N8?s camera and video capture skills – you’ll be able to read the full fact-packed story right here on Conversations this week, so stay tuned.
The Nokia N8 also introduces the ability to record high definition videos and edit them with a smart built-in editing suite on the device. Playback quality is just as important, and the 3.5-inch HD capacitive touchscreen is the ideal window for assessing your flicks and footage. There’s also a HDMI connector allowing you to hook the smartphone to your HD TV and share your media with friends and family in superb quality. We wanted to find out more about the benefits of HDMI in the Nokia N8 so we spoke to Paul Wheeler, a software program manager at Nokia, to get the full story – again, be sure to keep an eye out for our full story this later this week.
The Nokia N8 also doubles as a portable entertainment centre. Watch HD quality video with Dolby Digital Plus surround sound and hook into a dedicated Web TV application for access to news and entertainment on the move.

It’s not just its 12-megapixel camera and HD video skills with HDMI support that set the Nokia N8 apart from the crowd. Packing more memory than most, the Nokia N8 has 16GB of built-in storage and is expandable up to 48GB with a micro SD card.

Joining the social messaging fold with the likes of the latest Eseries and Cseries devices, the N8 enters the fray with live Twitter and Facebook updates direct to your homescreen. Comment, read and send messages, update your status and share your location and photos with one touch.

The Nokia E61 is due out in the first quarter of 2006 and is the first phone based on Symbian, that features a thumb keyboard. The eSeries devices also include the push-to-talk walkie-talkie feature, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and infrared wireless connectivity, as well as USB 2.0. New Nokia 6500 3G Handsets Announced

Europe : Nokia reaffirmed its leadership in driving the benefits of third generation technology to the mid-range market with the announcement of two new handsets, the Nokia 6500 classic and Nokia 6500 slide. Designed to be precisely balanced in the hand, with large keys and ergonomically correct dimensions and surfaces, both phones have been created with maximum usability in mind. Along with third generation WCDMA technology and sleek, contemporary designs, these new devices feature carefully engineered touches that help to ensure that the beauty endures.

"Nokia is a recognized trailblazer of the 3G revolution and a pioneer in the use of new and innovative materials for mobile phones. With the Nokia 6500 classic and Nokia 6500 slide, Nokia is skillfully combining these areas of expertise to deliver a compelling blend of design and technology at a mid-range price point," said Peter Ropke, Senior Vice President, Broad Appeal Business Unit, Nokia. "While features like the aluminum "loop" structure of the Nokia 6500 classic or the Carl Zeiss optics found in the Nokia 6500 slide separate these devices from the pack, it is the skillful balance of features and style that will make them irresistible to customers."

Nokia 6500 classic

Instantly recognizable by its seamless case crafted from 360 degrees of anodized aluminum, the Nokia 6500 classic is a 9.5mm thin statement of unsurpassed attention to detail. As an expression of individuality, each Nokia 6500 classic is individually polished, ensuring that no two phones are exactly alike, while diamond polishing used on the beveled display aperture and cold stamped logo demonstrate the highest levels of craftsmanship.

However, the attention to detail found in the Nokia 6500 classic is much more than skin deep. Featuring dual band 3G technology for fast and easy downloads and browsing and quad-band GSM for worldwide roaming, the Nokia 6500 classic delivers state-of-the-art connectivity options for the most demanding of customers. A full 1 GB of internal memory means that the Nokia 6500 classic has capacity for far more pictures, videos, contacts, songs, messages and other content than the vast majority of other mid-tier mobile phones.

Nokia's dedication to usability is also evident in the Nokia 6500 classic. The Nokia Series 40 interface, familiar to millions of users around the globe, provides easy access to the powerful feature set, including a 2 megapixel camera with dual LED flash and an integrated music player. Furthermore, a unified micro-USB connector simplifies charging, audio and data connectivity by consolidating them into a single compact port. This allows for the Nokia 6500 classic to be easily used as a high-capacity flash drive or to be charged directly from a laptop computer - all with one cable.

The Nokia 6500 classic is expected to be available during the 3rd quarter of 2007 at an estimated retail price of €320 before taxes and subsidies.

Nokia 6500 slide

Featuring an enthusiast-quality 3.2 megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss optics and the ability to easily share pictures, videos and even video calls on a television, the Nokia 6500 slide brings unsurpassed levels of imaging and sharing to the mid-range market. Additionally, the Nokia 6500 slide delivers a refined tactile experience with its elegant brushed stainless steel finish and smooth slide mechanism.

The 3.2 megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss optics found in the Nokia 6500 slide marks the first time that mid-range camera phone consumers have been able to experience the outstanding imaging capability of Carl Zeiss optics. The addition of autofocus, a dual LED flash and 8x digital zoom optimizes the Nokia 6500 slide for creating high-caliber images. Using the speed of 3G technology, these images and videos can be quickly shared with friends around the world, while the TV-out jack allows them to be instantly viewed on any television with standard RCA inputs. The TV-out feature can also be used to allow an entire group of people to simultaneously enjoy the fun of video calling.

Fashioned to stand apart from the crowd, the Nokia 6500 slide incorporates a number of design elements not often found in a mid-range device. Ensuring that the sophisticated brushed stainless steel body retains its timeless beauty, a unique hard coating helps to prevent scuffs, scratches, and even fingerprints. Precision engineering of the slide mechanism means that the Nokia 6500 slide feels solid in the hand, yet moves with a smooth, fluid action to create a decidedly upscale user impression.

The Nokia 6500 slide is expected to be available during the 3rd quarter of 2007 at an estimated retail price of €370 before taxes and subsidies.

Nokia X3 Music Phone with Ovi Store Support

Nokia may not have any intentions of following Sony Ericsson’s footsteps in phone naming, but I wouldn’t blame you if you think they are emulating the Swedish-Japanese company’s style. Well, I’m talking about Sony Ericsson’s Xperia X1 and X2 series, which surprisingly, Nokia continued with their recently-announced Nokia X3.

The X3 is actually “the first Series 40 Ovi Store-enabled device,” and they have also presented it as their most capable non-smartphone music handset to date. The design resembles to the 5330 XpressMusic, complete with dedicated music controls next to the 2.2-inch screen, although this is much sleeker and compact. This comes complete with MP3 player, FM radio, 3.5mm headset jack, Bluetooth, 3.2-megapixel camera, instant messaging, e-mail support, AGPS navigation with Nokia Maps, and a microSDHC card slot that can hold up to 16GB of your music and all.

This Nokia X3 is said to be available during the fourth quarter of the year for about €115.

Nokia Aeon Wants to Be Touched

The Nokia Aeon has a similar design to the Synaptics Onyx. The concept phone will feature a full surface touch screen display that replaces the traditional keypad. Its unique design gives this concept phone an extremely sleek and sexy look. Nokia should use some perfected material that doesn’t leave fingerprints on Aeon’s touch screen display; otherwise, you will probably spend half your time wiping it. Two more pictures after the jump!
